The Barista Course is a one-day course designed for hotel staff that work in F&B outlets and have customer contact with opportunities of recommending, selling and serving coffee.
This course is part of the Mise En Place Total Quality Management Training Suite.
After this course, successful participants will be in a position to positively enhance the dining experience of the guest by supplying good recommendations with knowledge of specialty coffees and to increase sales by discreetly maximising sales opportunities at work.
List the most common kinds of coffee beans, coffees and the ways in which they are served
Practice the language necessary to describe, compare and recommend coffee to guests
Role-play presenting a coffee list, recommending and selling coffee to guests and improving sales skills (up-selling and cross-selling)
Demonstrate preparing common styles of coffee
Develop an understanding of how to create specialty coffees
